Saying the pledge together
When 8:22pm came last night, it was quite a touching moment to see everyone stand still and say the pledge together. At home, all of us stood together, and the kids automatically placed their fists to their chest… and said the pledge together with us. It was a rather touching moment… and must say that this year’s NDP is really by far, the best that the NDP committee has produced.
For once, the storyline to the parade made sense, and the flow of things was really good. I enjoyed the defense portion very much.
When I asked the kids what part of the parade they remembered, Judy cited the “bad men” chase on the marina, and Matt said his favourite part was the fireworks and the pledge taking. So it DID leave an impression on their young minds. Mimi… well, she was just a little on the cranky side and was asleep.
Hello! Beginning a new page
We’re starting a new blog. Why? because the one we used to have at Blogger absolutely failed me. So now we’ve moved over to WordPress.
What I found difficult to understand is why I could not post pictures. The editing tools were not showing themselves. Despite me being on latest version of IE and Firefox. So much for blogger…..
Let’s hope WordPress fairs better.
So aside the gripes, the next couple of posts I am porting over the old stories so that I will NOT lose their precious capture.
